Position Responsibilities

  • Communicate with vendors on performance improvements, cost reductions and maintenance of best-in-class quality standards.

  • Qualify vendors - assist with and lead researching and sourcing new products and vendors. 

  • Work with Quality Control and Product Managers to review product sample quality. 

  • Participate in vendor meetings and begin to apply Uline’s negotiation strategies. 

  • Lead some negotiation elements (payment terms, freight terms, MOQ etc). Start to understand “the game” - read between the lines during live conversations.  

  • Plan and lead overseas travel and factory visits with upper management.

  • Develop a strong understanding of overseas regulations, EPA, labor laws and currencies. 

  • Build trust to work effectively within the Merchandising, Purchasing, Logistics, Compliance and Accounts Payable teams.

Minimum Requirements

  • 100% fluent in both English and Mandarin (both written and verbal).

  • Bachelor’s degree.

  • 3+ years of experience directly sourcing products from overseas factories preferred.

  • Knowledge of Chinese and Taiwanese cultures and business practices.

  • Understanding of international logistics preferred.

  • Available for 15% overseas travel.

  • Ability to prioritize with strong attention to detail.
