POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Design and execute database architecture strategy, standards and practices as part of team.
  • Develop data models to support business processes, ensure database changes adhere to best practices.
  • Install, configure, integrate and develop RDBMS databases.
  • Monitor database performance, understand business requirements and translate them into technical designs.
  • Develop, troubleshoot, and optimize PL/SQL code and ETL processes including data exports, imports, transformation.
  • Install and configure DB2LUW purescale.
  • ETL OLTP productions support and troubleshooting.
  • Technical environment: MQ, MFT implementations in multi-platform environment, RHEL, AIX, Linux, Unix, Windows, IBM Support Assistant, IBM Tivoli Performance Viewer, Dash db, DB2 LUW HADR, Bash, Korn, SQL Server, IBM I, DB2, Powershell, shell scripting; relational databases (SQL Server, Oracle, DB2 LUW, Linux and Unix platforms), Apache SOLR, Mongo DB, Dynamo DB, Microsoft Integration Services, Microsoft Reporting Services, Postgre SQL, IBM DB2 Purescale, DB2 BLU acceleration, AS400, IBM cloud solutions, IBM bluemix, Oracle RAC & Microsoft Always-ON technologies, Apache Cassandra, Elastic Search, ELk Stack, Graphite, Apache Lucene.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or any Engineering field plus ten years of experience in the job offered or with database administration required.
  • Required Skills: Experience with installation, configuration, integration & development of RDBMS databases (SQL Server, Oracle, DB2 LUW, Linux & Unix platforms); DB2LUW purescale installation & configuration; DB2 LUW HADR; PL/SQL development, troubleshooting, optimization; ETL (data exports, imports, transformation); OLTP production support and troubleshooting; RHEL, AIX to support RDBMS.
