Position Responsibilities 

  • Set policies, standards and best practices for Business Intelligence.

  • Collaborate with other departments to prioritize Business Intelligence development needs.

  • Mentor and coach a team of 15-20 Senior Managers, Managers, Team Leads and Business Intelligence Developers.

  • Ensure the team is organized effectively, and that roles and responsibilities within the team are clear and well understood.

  • Ensure Business Intelligence training needs are identified and met.

  • Provide executive-level communications regarding project performance and Business Intelligence / Data Warehouse performance results.

  • Direct the evaluation of new Business Intelligence / Data Warehouse products.

  • Participate in periodic High Availability / Disaster Recovery tests of critical systems.

  • Ensure day-to-day support is provided for Data Warehouse, Reporting and Analytic solutions.

  • Responsible for hiring, firing, performance appraisals and pay administration.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in information technology or related field. Master’s degree preferred.  

  • 15+ years of experience in Business Intelligence / Data Warehouse with 6 - 8 years of leadership experience preferred.

  • Extensive business knowledge.

  • Ability to communicate and collaborate at an executive level.

  • Proficient in managing all aspects of Business Intelligence and Data Warehouse development.

  • Strong mentorship / teaching ability.  Empathetic and approachable.

  • Detail-oriented.  Can juggle multiple priorities.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving ability.

  • Comfortable presenting strategies and solutions to IT Leadership.

  • Available for travel to Uline's domestic and international branches.
