Review and maintain statistical forecast models at the item, region and aggregate level within assigned categories. Incorporate additional business intelligence.
Utilize established demand planning tools and software to review historical sales trends, research demand drivers, tune forecast models and evaluate forecast results.
Collaborate and utilize "like item" demand history to develop new item forecasts.
Drive the cross-functional collaborative forecasting process through category reviews, partnering with Purchasing and Merchandising.
Publish an unconstrained demand plan to replenishment counterparts for inventory execution and capacity planning.
Manage exceptions to the forecast through exception-based reporting and auditing.
Measure performance by creating and / or providing metrics and measurements, as well as exception management reports, to analyze program effectiveness and opportunities.
2 - 3 years of experience in supply chain, purchasing, demand forecasting or related fields.
Solid understanding of forecasting / inventory management / supply chain practices and procedures.
Working knowledge of demand planning / forecasting software a plus.
